Tengku Zafrul, former Finance Minister, highlighted cashflow challenges faced by SMEs during Covid-19, with RM21 billion in wage subsidies saving 3,800 companies. Speaking at the launch of the Malay version of his book, he discussed Malaysia's recent investments from Tesla and AWS, expressing optimism for more projects. He stressed the need for investments to boost productivity and increase workers' incomes to help Malaysia overcome the middle-income trap.
