Finance Minister Tengku Zafrul Aziz announced plans to present Malaysia's first-ever pre-budget statement ahead of the 2022 Federal Budget, emphasising inclusivity and economic recovery. He aims to engage all stakeholders, including government and opposition MPs, under the "Malaysian Family" concept. The Finance Ministry will also table the 12th Malaysia Plan and focus on welfare, prosperity, and resilience, aligning with the government’s 100-day performance targets.
