At Data Centre Nexus 2026, MIDA Chairman Tengku Zafrul Aziz said Malaysia’s RM385.7 billion in data-centre-related investment must create lasting value beyond the facilities themselves. He called for high-value jobs, opportunities for local SMEs, stronger talent pipelines and responsible use of energy and water. Government and industry must work together to turn rapid growth into broad benefits for Malaysians.
