Beyond his professional responsibilities, Tengku Zafrul Aziz is a strong advocate for family values, youth development, sports, and community service. He enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends, while maintaining an active lifestyle through running, golf, and other sporting activities. His passion for sports extends beyond personal participation, having been elected as the 13th President of the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) for the 2025–2029 term and previously supporting initiatives involving cycling, squash, blind football, and wheelchair basketball. He regularly engages with youths and students through leadership, sustainability, and entrepreneurship programmes organised by institutions such as AMEU, UKEC, and the Selangor Youth Community. An avid supporter of charitable causes, he has raised funds through the completion of the Abbott World Marathon Majors and the Ironman Challenge, benefiting organisations including Make-A-Wish Malaysia, Protect & Save the Children, and the Compassionate Care Foundation. He also has a keen appreciation for the arts, Malaysia’s maritime heritage through his role as an Honorary Captain in the Royal Malaysian Navy Volunteer Reserve, and an enduring interest in motor vehicles and innovation.
