The Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (Miti) hopes the Melaka government's development of three new industrial areas aligns with the New Industrial Master Plan 2030 (NIMP 2030). Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz emphasised that this initiative aims to enhance the state's industrial sector and adhere to the National Industry Environmental, Social and Governance Framework. The proposed sites include MCORP Hi-Tech Park, German Industrial Park, and Elkay Industrial Park Phase 2, while recognising the Melaka Waterfront Economic Zone as a National Economic Regional Corridor.
