The Ministry of Finance (MoF) is confident that the financial sector will play a crucial role in Malaysia's sustainability journey. Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz emphasised the need for financial institutions to collaborate in providing funds for sustainable development and to prioritise sustainability in their operations and partnerships. He highlighted MoF's efforts to budget-tag measures that align with sustainability goals and called for the sharing of key data to improve climate adaptation strategies. The minister reiterated the importance of removing barriers to financing and supporting innovative solutions for environmental and social challenges.
