The Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) announced that out of RM144.7 billion in approved digital investments from 2021 to 2023, data centres accounted for RM114.7 billion, creating 39,231 jobs. Investments from companies like Amazon and ByteDance were RM3.4 billion in 2021, RM80.8 billion in 2022, and RM60.5 billion in 2023. Of the 2,386 manufacturing projects approved, 75.5% were implemented.
