Malaysia plans to leverage its role as ASEAN Chair next year to strengthen regional semiconductor cooperation, improve supply chains, and promote sustainability in the industry. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Malaysia’s Mimos Bhd and Brazil’s Eldorado Institute, marking a step towards enhancing talent development and green practices. Malaysian officials emphasised ASEAN’s potential to become a global hub for the semiconductor sector.
