Investments by AWS and Microsoft in Malaysia's data centre industry are set to boost the economy by empowering SMEs and advancing technology. Tengku Zafrul Aziz highlighted that data centres comprised RM114.7 billion of RM144.7 billion approved digital investments from 2021 to 2023. This influx will accelerate SME digital transformation, enhance digital infrastructure, and create opportunities for local tech talents, aligning with Malaysia's economic growth goals.
