Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz has officially announced his candidacy for one of the 25 seats in the Umno Supreme Council in the upcoming party elections. Having been an Umno member since 1998, Zafrul, who was recently appointed to the council, aims to attract more Bumiputera professionals to the party. He believes Umno must show it welcomes professionals and provide them opportunities to contribute. Zafrul submitted his nomination at the party's headquarters and hopes to support Umno's aspirations.
